Click on the tabs below to learn more about how to become a table host at the 2016 HRC AZ Gala!

There are two ways , you can participate in being part of the Table Captain or Table Host committee.  By Definition – a Table Host purchases a table and invites attendees to come.  A Table Captain invites his friends and family and sphere of influence to come and participate in the elegant Gala Evening.  Table Captains and Table Hosts represent the entire spectrum of diversity and support for the equality cause in the Arizona communities from Avondale to Yuma.

Table Hosts use the evening to invite friends, families, business peers, clients or vendors as a way to connect over a cause and entertain in a special environment.  They can purchase a table for $2,250 or they can purchase a table for $3,000 with VIP access.

Table Captains use their best efforts to sell a full table of 10 seats within their circle of influence.  This ensures a successful fundraiser for the equality movement and growth for additional participants who might not have known about this event or the work that is being done.  The fiscal responsibility is limited to buying their own tickets for the Gala.  If not all the tickets were sold at the table, the Dinner committee will help place members at the table.

Begin By Organizing a Table

Make a list of a perfect dinner party attendees and extend the invitation.  Invite friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, or whomever else you feel may have an interest in the equality movement. The best invitation for your guests is a personal one from you. Invite them in person, by telephone, or e-mail. We have included a sample letter highlighting the points to discuss, feel free to personalize it using your own words and communication style.

Plan to start as soon as you get the save the date.  This will help you be a better Table captain as well as get your guests to start signing up.  Don’t delay giving your guests the event information. Start Early! Calendars fill up quickly. Getting on schedules earlier gives you the highest likelihood of successfully filling your table. Even if they don’t buy the tickets right away, your potential guests will be aware of the dinner and of your desire to have them attend.

Why Guests Should Attend

2016 is a key year in politics.  There is a Equality Bill that is far reaching as well as a presidential ballot.  Marriage Equality has passed and yet there is so much more work to be done to ensure equality for everyone.  HRC helps to influence legislation at the national, regional and local levels. Marriage Equality, Workplace Equality, and Community Equality are all key HRC issues.

By Attending the Dinner, you not only help reinforce a strong sense of pride in our community, but also provide critical financial support for HRC to continue its mission. Our Arizona Gala dinner serves as a critical fundraiser for HRC Arizona, putting money and boots here in the Local  campaign for equality.

The best reason to attend is that it is a night to remember.  Elegant, entertaining and acknowledging the people who make a difference in the fight for equality.  There is a Silent Auction component with wonderful items to bid on, to win (from First Edition Art, to Staycations, to wine, to trips and jewelry), you also get to be shoulder to shoulder with inspiring people, doing amazing things.  Above all else, you make a difference in the fight for LGBT equality.

Getting your guests at your table

When your guests go to sign up at the ticket website, have them choose your name from the Table Captain pull-down menu in the “check out” section of Box Office Tickets when they are purchasing their tickets for the National Dinner. A seat is only reserved by purchasing a ticket for the Dinner.

Dear Friend,

I would like to invite you to participate in something not only important to me, but also important to our community; I have signed up to be a table captain for the Human Rights Campaign Arizona’s 2016 Annual Gala Dinner and Auction on Saturday, February 27, 2016.  If you’ve been to one of HRC’s dinners in the past, you know what a fun, inspiring, and empowering event it is, and I’m sure this year will also be great.  As a table captain, I have committed to filling the 10 seats at the table, and would love to have you join us.

As you know, HRC is the country’s largest organization working for full equal rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans.  The sweeping victories of pro-LGBT candidates in recent election cycles, incredible movement on gay rights within corporate America, and marriage equality becoming a reality in numerous states across the nation, are all successes HRC has fought for over the past few years.  There is much more information available at HRC’s website,  This Arizona dinner is critical for raising funds to support this work.

Please join us.  Tickets to the Arizona Gala often sell out quickly, so please let me know as soon as possible if you’ll be able to join me.  General Admission tickets are $225 per person.  VIP tickets are $100 per person until 1/31/2016.  You can purchase them through Enter website name or by calling Box Office Tickets at 800-494-8497. Please make sure to select me as your table captain during the check-out process either online or on the phone.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of our friends, families, and communities.
